The SideChek SB range of dual split beam x-ray systems has been designed for use on production lines that transfer medium and high-density containers in the food processing and packaging industries at high speeds.
Dedicated x-ray systems for a wide range of container sizes
Depending on the largest container size that will run on a production line either the 200 or 300 model of the SideChek SB x-ray system range can be selected. The angle between the two x-ray beams and the x-ray beam geometry is fixed and optimized on both models and any container that fits inside the fixed beam angle can be inspected.
X-ray system allows cans to run touching
For very high speed production lines the SideChek SB 200 x-ray system allows rimmed cans to run touching using very low power and improving detection while increasing productivity.
Features | Description | Benefits |
---|---|---|
Dual split beam technology | Two x-ray beams simultaneously inspect each and every container | Improved coverage and detection in the base area and on the container sidewalls and every pack is imaged twice |
Contamination detection | Detection of contaminants such as glass, metal, stone and high-density plastic | Ensuring product safety |
Multiple inspection routines | Simultaneous contamination detection, cap detection, fill level check and/or damaged pack check | Ensures product integrity and flexibility |
Auto variable scan speed | The x-ray scan speed matches the production line speed, one to one image ratio | Uptime is maximized and positive rejection is never compromised |
Low power x-ray tank | No water cooling is required | Very low cost of ownership |
Adaptive filtering | Dynamically changing for every can | Optimum detection and minimum false rejects |
User friendly operation and setup | Minimum training required, quick line changeovers | Minimum downtime and maximum OEE (Operational Equipment Effectiveness) |
Hygienic design | IP65 as standard and IP69K is available as an option for harsh wash down environments | Easy access to all machine areas with no hidden bug traps, ensuring minimum downtime |
